Qualifications: BSc, MSc Physiotherapy

After finishing a Sports and Exercise Science degree through a soccer scholarship at Bath University in England, Matt went on to do his Master’s degree in Physiotherapy at Kings College London. This included a Masters level research thesis on Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury rehabilitation.

On completion of his academic study Matt commenced work within the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK gaining a vast amount of experience treating a variety of conditions within the inpatient and outpatient setting including: Chronic pain conditions, sports injuries, spinal pain, upper and lower limb pathology and post-operative rehabilitation.

His background in elite level sport both as a competitor and physiotherapist gives him great insight into high level performance and, coupled with his extensive Sport and Exercise Science knowledge, is put to good effect developing individualized and progressive strength and conditioning programs tailored to an individual’s rehabilitative needs and functional aspirations.

Matt has a keen interest in knee, lower limb and running injuries and is passionate about going the extra mile to help people work towards and attain their relevant goals.

Matt is currently undertaking a second Masters Degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at La Trobe University further reinforcing his philosophy of treating the person as a whole; with due consideration to the relevant biological, psychological and social factors that can influence the health experience to ensure his patients get the very best from their physiotherapy treatment.

Whether it’s running ultra-distance trails in the wilderness, chasing waves or spending time in nature Matt firmly believes the day is there to be seized.
