Qualifications: BAppSci; DPT

Sophie graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Physiotherapy in 2015. Prior to undertaking her physiotherapy qualification, Sophie completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement), where she developed a greater understanding of how movement and exercise play an integral role in leading a healthy lifestyle.

Sophie is particularly passionate about keeping her patients active during all stages of the lifespan, and understands how important it is to help patients get back to their favourite activities in safe and supportive environment. She has completed the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) mat work Pilates course and loves teaching and expanding her knowledge in Pilates.

Sophie has a range of experience in treating musculoskeletal conditions and a special interest in treating women’s health conditions. Her passion for restoring pelvic health and empowering women to stay active led her to complete her Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) Level 1 Women’s Health course. She also wishes to complete further studies in women’s health including, her post graduate certification.

Special interest in treating women's health

Sophie has a special interest in treating women’s health conditions. She has undertaken additional training in the treatment of urinary incontinence. During her work in clinical practice, Sophie has developed a passion for restoring pelvic health and empowering women to stay active. This experience led her to complete the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) Level 1 Women’s Health Physiotherapy Course and the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) mat work Pilates course.

She has experience in treating patients with:

  • Back pain in pregnancy
  • Exercise during pregnancy
  • Postnatal exercise
  • Prolapse
  • Voiding issues
